Classes at Westhall Workshops

Karan Raitt cutting lead for her first panel

There is a real shortage of taught courses in stained glass right now. Karan (pictured above) approached me a couple of months back about learning leaded glass techniques. I put her in touch with a number of places offering courses, but she wasn't able to get a place in the northern half of the UK! As the course I am teaching at Woodend Barn was full, I offered her an informal short course, at my workshops instead. We had a great time, with loads of swearing and biscuits making it just like a normal day at the workshop for me...!

Swear Sir? Me Sir? No Sir! Aye, and I want to point out that you had more biscuits than me! Looking forward to finishing that panel, I'll bring the Abernethies!
