Our studio is so very nearly finished - just the woodburning stove to install, and then it's the final landscaping. It's been a long build, but the end result has surpassed even my wildest hopes.
Fortunately It's not just me that likes the studio - the building was recently nominated for a RIAS Design award, as part of the Forestry Commission's "Wood for Good" scheme, and the Scottish larch cladding has just been featured by Russwood, the Newtonmore-based timber company.
Like all buildings, I'm sure it will evolve - having seen Tom Denny's studio, I have plans for a much larger glazed area in the glass room... And a deckboard floor in the cementing area. And some bookshelves.
