Victorian Transom, Stonehaven.

I installed this long, thin transom yesterday after a failed attempt the previous week. The window is only a few mm narrower than the hallway it sits in, and, as a result, proved very difficult to manoeuvre into position. I solved the problem by attaching a temporary horizontal 15mm brass bar across the middle of the panel to allow me to lift it straight up and into the deep recess above the door.

The window contains many small painted squares and looks as if it was possibly made by the same studio that produced these windows.
