Traditional Stained Glass Doorways, Aberdeen

Over the years I have amassed a fair number of images of Aberdeen domestic stained glass. I mostly use these as a reference for clients looking to install or replace stained glass. Sadly, as more and more stained glass is ripped out, the collection is becoming a historic record showcasing the variety of domestic stained glass in the north east.

In order to share the huge variety of domestic front door styles in the city, I have uploaded a selection of examples here. I'm sure some of you will recognise a few of these doorways - the majority are from Aberdeen's West End, but a few are from further afield. Some are my work, but the majority are original Victorian or Edwardian windows installed when the houses were forst built. There is also one "fake" stained glass window (made using stick on lead tape and coloured adhesive film) in the collection if you fancy the challenge of finding it.

If you would like to have your front door added to the collection, simply drop me a line via our contact page.
