The small class size, friendly teaching environment and timescale will allow a complete beginner to produce a small, simple panel over the two days, and to leave the course with enough experience to carry on stained glass as a hobby. For the more experienced participants, the two days should see the completion of long-standing projects and plenty time to devise and begin new projects, or learn new techniques.

The course will run over two days, starting at 10am and finishing at 5pm both days. Lunch will be provided, although you are very welcome to bring goodies, cake etc! If you have any dietary requirements
please let me know in plenty time.

Location
The course will be held at the studio of artist Susie Hunt, above the River Don just outside Kemnay.

The Studio
Mill Farm
Kemnay
Inverurie
Aberdeenshire
AB51 5NY Map

From the A96 at Inverurie, take Kemnay direction at roundabout (first left northbound, 3rd exit on right coming south). All tools and materials for beginners are included.

What to bring

If you are a complete novice, then feel free to bring anything that might inspire you in designing your first piece. And don't worry if you have no idea what you would like to make - simple patterns will be supplied and the many aspects involved in designing a panel will be discussed at the start of the day. There will also be a large piule of books and images for inspiration.

You should also bring basic drawing materials (pencils, rulers etc) and, if you have one, an apron.

More experienced participants should also bring the projects they may be working for, or source and reference materials for their next panel.

What we will cover (beginners)

Day 1 - AM
1.
