Repaired Leaded Glazing, Kincardine House, Aberdeenshire

A trip down memory lane today. I was back over in Kincardine O'Neil, home for Morning Glass Designs from 2005-2010. The gales of last week had blown open an upper-storey window in Kincardine House, smashing several panes.

The windows themselves are interesting - Victorian metal frames, with custom curved tie bars and ornate handles throughout. I used Drawn Restoration, a modern float glass subtly heat bent to give a gentle distortion, as most other restoration glasses were much too "figured" to match the existing glazing..
