Video: Making Menfolk (Part 1) - Debora Coombs
I was up and away too early today to post a stained glass image, so here's a video by artist Debora Coombs, showing some of the painted work in her window "Menfolk".
Debora continues to teach glasspainting and stained glass design workshops from her studio in Vermont. Last Autumn one student flew over from Scotland and another drove 7,000 kilometers overland from the Yukon in Canada! You can book her classes through her website here.
“The first in an intimate series of documentary shorts detailing the creation of Debora Coombs’ stained glass window series “Menfolk.” According to the artist, this series “explores maleness at various ages and in different emotional landscapes.” Video was shot at Coombs’s Vermont studio and home. Directed and edited by Jack Criddle, with music by arch guitarist Jean Chaine.”
