Stained Glass Image of the Day: Walker Window, Glenmuick Parish Church, Ballater (Kemp & Chilton, 1953)
This window was presented by the widow of Mr Charles Walker, an elder and fabric convenor of the Church who died in 1953. The window was designed and built by Margaret Chilton & Marjorie Kemp in their Queen Street Studio in Edinburgh, and shows a young Jesus working in the Carpenter's workshop.
While researching this window I discoverd that Chilton & Kemp were responsible for the main window in the church in my childhood home town, as well as another window I was planning to feature tomorrow.
