Spring is springing...

Work is slowly starting to pick up, as the days lengthen and the prospect of outside repairs is less daunting. We have been fairly steady in the studio over the winter, working on a number of smaller repairs and restoration projects. 


The left hand sidelight in the doorway below was very badly damaged, and only a small amount off the original glass was salvaged.

Repairs to this doorset involved recreating some damaged painted work, and replacement of a number of cracked sections.


This doorway panel in an Aberdeenshire farmhouse had a smashed upper section - a quick in-situ repair is always satisfying.


Our big project for last year has come to a close, with final snagging done (hopefully). It was great to see the interior of the church with all the scaffold removed.
